What's HOT for Fall!

Okay, ladies, admit it!  We still like to be in style no matter what our age.  So, I did a little research to see what we need to purchase to be "Hotties" this Fall.

#1     The Sexy Turtleneck
#2     Velvet & Velour
#3     Capes & Ponchos
#4     Big Beautiful Pants
#5     Patchwork

Ok, so "The Sexy Turtleneck", I don't like and never did; makes me feel like I'm choking.  The Velvet & Velour I can go with.  I love that type of material.  Capes & Ponchos?  Is this to go along with the recent fascination with Vampires?  There's no way you're getting me in a pair of "Big Beautiful Pants".  I certainly don't need to look like I've gained more weight than I actually have.  The Patchwork...I can handle wearing that.

So...ladies, what's your take on my What's Hot for Fall?  Leave me a comment and follow my blog and you'll be entered to win a 6 oz. Autumn Wreath Soy Candle from my website, Yellow Rose Gifts, Company.

2 c. shredded cheddar cheese
2 c. shredded Pepper Jack cheese, divided

1/2 t. ground black pepper
1/2 to 1 c. broken tortilla chips (your choice of color)
1/4 to 1/2 t. crushed red pepper (optional)

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Lightly grease 2 1/2 quart casserole dish.  Cook macaroni in large saucepan according to package directions; drain. New Product!! Doggie Shampoo Bar

I would like to tell you about one of my new products, the Doggie Shampoo Bar.  Our Doggie Shampoo Bar is made with a white natural glycerin soap base.  We then add Castor Oil, Vitamin E Oil, and liquid Glycerin.  It is then scented with Peppermint Essential Oil and Tea Tree Essential Oil.  Since Peppermint Oil is an anti-inflammatory, antiseptic and astringent, it helps relieve pets of their most common topical skin problems, while it acts to cool and relieve irritated skin associated with flea bites and other minor skin irritations.  It is also a great bug repellent.  Tea Tree is a natural anti-inflammatory oil that helps speed up the healing process of itchy, chafed skin and hot spots caused by flea bites, itching, dandruff, or other dermatitis.  Helps to heal bites, oily skin, ringworm, sores, cuts and abrasions.

2010 Fall Hair Trends

The Fall season is just about on us.  Some women like to spice things up when the seasons change.  So, I decided to do a little research on the 2010 Fall Hair Trends and then share them with my readers.  The following is what I found to be the Hot, New Hair for this Fall.

Soft curls are all the rage right now, and are fun to create on all hair types. They're also a fairly simple way to change up your look, day or night.  To achieve this look start with clean, damp hair. Mist with a strong hair spray like Redken’s Wool Shake, and blow dry. Next use a 1" barrel curling iron (nothing wider, or the curl will be too loose), and coat your hair with more hairspray for extra staying power. Those with fine hair will need to go heavier on the product. Not so skillful with an iron? Set your hair with hot rollers!

Multi-toned hair color is the go-to style of the season, and many celebs are going after the same look that gradually fades from darker roots to lighter ends in the same color family. This is a great fall style, since your summer highlights will already be growing out. Choose a dye that looks like your natural hair color and dye only the top part of your hair. Be very careful when rinsing out to lift up your ends so the dark dye won’t transfer.

Bangs are back!  Long Layers are in!  So is Sleek and Straight.

And the hair color for this fall is....... RED!

Our Oatmeal Bath Soak

I would like to tell you about one of my products today.  It is my Oatmeal Bath Soak.  With the colder weather coming soon, this product will help relieve the dry, itchy skin that we all get during the cold, winter months.

Our Oatmeal Bath Soak is made with Oatmeal, Castile Soap and Almond Meal.  We then fragrance it with Lavender Essential Oil.  Oatmeal and its natural coat moisturize, protect and gently cleanse, while correcting the pH of itchy or dry skin.  Castile soap moisturizes the skin and almond meal rejuvenates the skin.

Lavender Essential Oil is a great aid for relaxing and winding down before bedtime, yet has balancing properties that can also boost stamina and energy.

More Fall Beauty Tips

Summer is winding down.  It is hard to see it go.  But Fall is a beautiful season also.  I love the Fall colors and the cool, crisp air in the mornings.  Here are a few more fall beauty tips that I found while searching the web:

Lip Love

Fall’s fashion-forward trends include high-powered colors for your pout.

Make a Statement

• Brick red, deep plum and bright pink are big hits with celebrities this fall.
• Carefully line your lips using a liner one shade darker than your lipstick. Then, apply your lip color, and carry it with you for quick touch-ups.
• Finish with clear lip gloss.

Balance The Look

• If you used bold eyeliner, eye shadow and mascara on your eyes, tone down your lips with a nude shade. If you used gold highlighter, pick a matte finish for your lips. If you didn’t use metallic colors on your eyes, choose a gloss.

Nail It

Fall’s hot nail shades follow eye-shadow tones; you can even match your nail color to your eye shadow.

• Green, bronze, silver, navy and deep plum are popular shade choices.
• If you choose a dark color, file your nails square and short so that they withstand housework and your busy schedule.
• Time-saving tip: Paint your nails before you shower so that any mistakes wash away.

Fall Foundation

Fall’s bold eye and lip trends should be contrasted with a matte, natural foundation. Couple light, cream-based foundations with translucent powder. Mineral foundation will give you a pure, natural finish, too.

Light Blush

This season, go easy on the blush. Lightly apply peach, earth tones or coral blush — or skip it all together.
