Silky Skin Toner
Place a half cup of honey, 2 cups of buttermilk and a half cup of rosewater in an air-tight container. A Tupperware with a screw-on lid works great. Shake up the mixture until it is thoroughly blended. It will be runny and a cloudy color. You can apply it with a cotton ball for tight, toned skin.
This recipe is best when used with Organic Honey.

Problem: Dry patches on elbows, knees and feet
Treatment: A coffee, sugar and vanilla scrub. Coffee has strong antioxidant properties. Because of this, it is a good choice for the rougher skin on your body, while sugar works as a light manual exfoliator to smooth skin. Vanilla extract adds a soothing scent for at-home aromatherapy.
Using it: In the shower, let skin soften under warm water for 5-10 minutes. Scoop out a small handful of the scrub and massage it in circular motions from your limbs to your heart to increase circulation. Rinse and follow with a gentle shower gel to remove excess residue. DO NOT use this scrub on your face or on any broken or sensitive skin.
Use the scrub once a week for regular skin. If your skin is quite dry and bumpy, twice a week is recommended.

Get Rid of that Belly Fat!!
I stopped smoking 2 1/2 years ago. They tell you that you will gain approximately 10 pounds when you quit smoking. Not me! I went from weighting 113 lbs. to weighing
149 lbs. I am very active. I have exercised regularly for 13 years but nothing seemed to stop the weight I was putting on. I have alot of excess fat around my midsection. The bad thing is, I can't get it to come off. I watch what I eat (and I don't eat alot) and I am exercising 4 days a week. I have also started walking. I ran across an article with a list of foods that help you lose your belly fat. They are blueberries, asparagus, salmon, and watermelon. I guess I will be headed out to the store to purchase these items and see if it works. Stay tuned and I'll let you know if these foods actually work.

Our Pink Spa Bath Salts is excellent for detoxifying your body due to its softness
and compactness. It is scented with Lemongrass Essential Oil and Orange
Essential Oil.
Pink Himalayan Salt is mined from ancient sea beds inside the Himalayan
mountains. It is completely unrefined and comes to you in its raw, natural form.
This salt was formed over 200 million years ago in the primeval sea where the first
signs of life formed in the mineral rich water. Because of its location and how it
was formed it is extremely pure and free of contaminants or pollutants. It gains its
pink color from the high content of Iron. It also contains trace amounts of 84
minerals and elements including Potassium, Magnesium, Calcium, Iodine, Zinc
and Sodium. Himalayan salt has long been used in warm water as a holistic
treatment for poor circulation, high blood pressure, dry, damaged or irritated skin,
muscle soreness, joint pain and for detoxification.

Healthy Food Tips - Sardines!
One fish that you should be eating (and probably are not) is the humble sardine. Sardines (Pacific, wild-caught) are one of the healthiest foods we can consume, according to health and environmental experts. These nutritional powerhouses are one of the best sources of omega-3 fats, with a whopping 1,950 mg/per 3 oz. (that’s more per serving than salmon, tuna or just about any other food) and they’re packed with vitamin D. And because sardines are small and low on the food chain, they don’t harbor as many toxins as bigger fish can.
Try this recipe:
Greek Salad with Sardines
The fresh, tangy elements of a Greek salad—tomato, cucumber, feta, olives and lemony vinaigrette—pair well with rich-tasting sardines. Look for sardines with skin and bones (which are edible) as they have more than four times the amount of calcium as skinless, boneless sardines. If you’re lucky enough to have fresh sardines available in your supermarket, try them in place of the canned sardines. Lightly dredge them in salt-and-pepper-seasoned flour and sauté them in a little olive oil. Serve with: Warm pita bread and a cold beer.
