Benefits of Using A Coffee Scrub

Believe it or not, there are many benefits of using a coffee scrub.

The scent of coffee acts to clear a person's mind of excessive thoughts. The scent also works as an anti-depressant and can combat feelings of nausea. Using a coffee body scrub will allow you to take advantage of its aromatherapy features.

The main chemical in coffee is caffeine, a natural antioxidant. Antioxidants have many benefits, including heart disease- and cancer-fighting properties. Antioxidants also neutralize the effects of free radicals, which can damage the inner layer of skin. This damage is often reflected in age spots and wrinkles. When a coffee body scrub is applied, the skin absorbs this antioxidant and can help prevent premature aging.

Because coffee scrubs are made with coarse grounds and salt or sugar, they act as exfoliates for the skin. Regular exfoliation of the skin removes residual dirt and dead skin to give you younger looking, fresh skin. After the skin is exfoliated, it is able to absorb moisture more effectively as well. All beauty regimens should include exfoliation treatments, and the coffee scrub provides it.

The caffeine found in coffee scrubs typically increases blood flow and may reduce the appearance of cellulite. Even the action of applying the coffee scrub can help with these types of skin issues because squeezing and massaging the body helps to release toxins and fats held in the skin.

It is for all of the above reasons that I decided to create a natural coffee scrub to add to my bath/body product line.  The ingredients used in my coffee scrub are all natural.  I begin with fresh Chocolate Creme coffee grounds and then add Mediterranean Sea Salt, Sweet Almond Oil, unsweetened Cocoa, and Vitamin E Oil.  There is an aroma of chocolate from the combination of the Chocolate Creme coffee grounds and the unsweetened cocoa.

I'm Not MIA!!

Hawaiian Red Sea Bath Salts

Our Hawaiian Red Sea Bath Salts are a mixture of pure Pacific Sea Salt and iron
oxide. It is added to the salt for its beneficial trace elements. This natural additive is what gives the salt its distinctive rich red colour.

The Red Hawaiian Clay is traditionally used for healing cuts and minor injuries.
The clay and salt in a bath is very effective for drawing out impurities. The high
mineral content makes this a very therapeutic bath salt.

Problem: Dry patches on elbows, knees and feet

Treatment: A coffee, sugar and vanilla scrub. Coffee has strong antioxidant properties. Because of this, it is a good choice for the rougher skin on your body, while sugar works as a light manual exfoliator to smooth skin. Vanilla extract adds a soothing scent for at-home aromatherapy.

Using it: In the shower, let skin soften under warm water for 5-10 minutes.
